The beam is VERY bright and steady. I noticed no fluctuation at all in the beam's intensity during a roughly 90 minute shooting session. I normally don't stay at the range that long but I was having a lot of fun checking the laser out.
I got this Green Laser Pointer this morning, mounted it on the scope rail that came with my Ruger 10/22 and went to the range where I made some simple adjustments to both the windage and elevation until it was dead on, center of the target, at 7 yards. I believe the laser came pre-set for a longer distance. 25 yards, maybe? Either way, setting it for your preferred distance is a snap.This product is of amazing quality, and finish. I was very surprised. The laser is quite intense and no doubt it reaches the maximum distance suggested. I recommend this to everyone interested in using such a device, I personally use it for CQB, and reflex for greater distances. My AR is a lightweight build, and this does not offset my weapon very much at all. Although it comes with Velcro which is a great way of doing it with the right adhesive, I plan to use clear silicon so that I can also affix the wire coil for a seamless install until I am able to locate an uncoiled pressure switch style. Pressure switch location is on the mag well, keep in mind...my 300blk is considerably shorter than most so keep that in mind. For a longer AR I would mount a key mod or install on rail next to an AFG (Angled Fore Grip). You will not be disappointed.
I purchased a burning laser , and before I could use it, my father-in-law thought that it was the cat's meow, as it is a crazy bright laser beam that can be seen as far our properties allow (in other words, the laser was only unseen if it hit the horizon, but if there was something, anything to reflect off of, it could be seen). So, I purchased a second one to try out with my ar. This budget laser would be perfect for a SHTF, home defense or just for "tacti-cool". I was sighting the laser into my scope in the evening hours, and I noticed that the laser would shift slightly as I pulled the charging handle and dry fired my ar-15. After about 20 dry cycles, I started to re-zero the laser, and tighten the screw to the piccanty rail and the screw to tighten the laser to the mount. Eventually, it was tight enough that the "zero" only moved slightly. I stripped the screw that tightens the laser to the mount.
This 100mw Laser Pointer is absolutely awesome. Easy to zero & holds zero great. Excellent range as you'd expect from a CR123 green laser. This laser performs excellent and the price point makes it a no brainer. Definitely recommend. I just wish I could find a laser that was powered by a couple of AAs, even with the limitations.
The laser gloves seems to be made of a good quality material. Very very very strong green beam. Bright as hell. One thing to remember is, if you use it at night, the green beam will draw a green beam back to you red beams will not. Green is good for daylight and red beams are good for night. I have not shot my gun with this laser installed to see if it has an issue holding true. I do wish the adjustments had coin slots vs Allen wrench design. Not a deal breaker though.
